Field Notes

Description:

3 to 4 foot tall plant with no visible leaves. Only flower in the bed. Flower size was small, 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.

Habitat:

Only one flower in this bed or anywhere near. This plant was in a stand of sawgrass and other grasses within 30 feet of the ocean inlet. Heavy salt water exposure and salt spray.
