Description:

I have no idea which species this scorpion belongs to but a friend of mine told me that that strong claws indicate that the venom is not that potent!

I don't think anyone would want to test the "strong claws" theory. I'd rather marvel from afar. Awesome spotting.

Great snap. There is a sort of 'rule of thumb' with scorpions to measure venom toxicity. Basically the bigger and stronger the claws the less it relies on the sting to subdue prey. The smaller and weaker the claws the more toxic the venom. Still, there are always exceptions so be cautious all the same.
