I would say that you have Heliconiinae around whole South America, but you will not find every species or subspecies at the same places. Be aware of the mimics!

Great thanks! Heliconiinae would be in that area though? The location is actually in the hills outside of Duque de Caxias along the slopes of the headwaters of the San Antonio river

No, same family Nymphalidae, but the rest is different: Heliconius erato would be Heliconiinae, Heliconiini. Yours is Nymphalinae and Melitaeini.
