Field Notes

Description:

Small greenish darter with a bit of turquoise blue under the throat. These were not quite fully colored up for breeding.

Habitat:

Riffle/run habitat of the Clinch River

Notes:

I was invited by a Virginia Fisheries biologist to go out with him and some students from Virginia Tech to look for fish in the Clinch River.
