Field Notes
Description:
This might be some type of fly? This might be a Drainfly? At 11:30 a.m. in the morning, I went down stairs into the kitchen, and I saw a very small black insect, resting on one of the walls in the kitchen. This insect was about one fourth of an inch wide, and about one fourth of an inch high. It had black wings. It had two antennae, and six legs. It had some light spots on each wing. The edges all around the wings, were banded. Dark and light colors. The wings were black, but when I took a photo of this insect, the wings were different shades of brown. The legs were banded. Light and dark colors. This insect was alive, and able to fly.
