Field Notes

Description:

Small beige spider with brown markings and a big black spot on the abdomen. The legs are practically transparent except for dark markings on the leg joints. The legs are also extremely long. Family Theridiidae, called cobweb spiders, tangle-web spiders and comb-foot spiders.

Habitat:

Arcotete Park, 10 km west of San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico.
