Field Notes

Description:

Slightly larger than a quarter. As you can see, black stripe, legs kept in pairs. Kept a low profile when moving. Eyes on the front top. Head had a raised part where the eyes are located.

Habitat:

Unknown. This pretty slightly hairy little bugger was on the U-haul loading ramp on the back of the truck. So I'm not sure if it could be a native

Notes:

Moved kinda weird. Kept very low to the ground when moving and she liked the side-step. Also she took a defensive/aggressive position instead of running when I gave her a little nudge with my finger. Never had a spider do that.

Species ID Suggestions

Running crab spider

Philodromidae (family)
