Rio Grande Chirping Frog

A small frog that is about an inch in length. It has mad hops for its size and can easily jump a foot in one stride. Commonly seen around moist areas such as lakes and houses that get a lot of sprinkler water. Found in southern Texas but can also be found as north as San Antonio. The design on the frog is very scattered with small black dots. It also has a background ranging from dark yellow to dark brown as the one shown in the picture. Commonly mistaken for the Cliff Chirping Frog which is a little bit larger and found near the Trans-Pecos area of Texas.
