Field Notes

Description:

Elaborately patterned moth about 2 cm long. The second picture is of a different individual photographed on May 19th 2013 in the same place.

Habitat:

Came to the parking lot lights of a shopping center on the outskirts of San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.

Notes:

Origin from the Indo-Australian Tropics. A major agricultural pest.
