Description:

This is is so hard to photograph. He has been hanging around and several different sunflowers for he past week
Almost red in color
about 1" long... but 1.5" if flattened out
Very little motion

Habitat:

Urban backyard sunflower garden California heartland

Notes:

Praying Mantis family I think but I cannot find images of a red one
