Description:

Sri Lanka's Land Monitor , this can climb trees. Can run fast in pursuit of prey, which include small mammals, reptiles, insects, birds ,etc. A split tongue is used to sense/smell prey. Estimated length of this monitor to be about 4 ft .

Habitat:

Found on grass land and then climbed on tree.
