Description:

Primula vulgaris subsp. sibthorpii is a native of the Balkans and the southwest Asia. The flowers of that subspecies are pink to red or purple. It belongs in the family Primulaceae, which is native to western and southern Europe and the Balkans. The pink subspecies was spotted in the same area as the other Primula vulgaris subsspecies, the Primula vulgaris vulgaris. All the plants were spotted near Agios Ioannis, Pelion mountain, Greece.
