Description:

A lynx spider (members of the family Oxyopidae) of the genus Oxyopes guarding her egg sac. (http://naturecloseups.com/posts/lynx-spider-guarding-egg-sac ). There are 4 listed species of the genus for Papua ( http://www.cacaospiders.com/IndonesianSpiders_2011.pdf )

Habitat:

Spotted on variegated croton (Codiaeum variegatum) in large semi-urban yard & garden adjacent to a disturbed patch of remnant forest.
