Field Notes

Habitat:

Native to Mexico, Central America and adjacent northwestern Colombia. They live in tropical dry and moist forests preferring areas with dense vegetation near the bodies of water.

Notes:

A Brown Basilisk or Jesus Christ Lizard, a.k.a. Striped Basilisk, a.k.a. Common Basilisk that likes to hang out in my hibiscus. One of the MANY introduced species of lizards in South Florida. It felt like posing for some nice pics this morning.
