Field Notes
Description:
Appears very healthy, yellow pointed flower petals, some shriveled up and browning. Short bush-like with green leaves on the base, 2 feet tall. Brown large buds with many seeds.
Habitat:
Found near the south entrance of the gardens in a raised cinder-block flowerbed west facing. Reduced light exposure due to the excess grass foliage. Soil is a mix of topsoil and compost with a minor addition of peatmoss on top. Healthy drainage although there could be a lack of growing space.
Notes:
No sign of pest infestation, overall it appears to be healthy. There are leaves that are dying but it is just likely due to the switch of seasons and the recent frost as well as the storm on October 2.
