Deer named because of it's mule like ears

Habitat:

California

Notes:

Saw a herd of deer running across the road in the morning in Mammoth Lakes, California.
I stopped the car and let them pass so the babies could catch up with the older ones.
Sorry the pictures aren't too clear I couldn't get closer.
