Description:

Lathyrus cicera (red pea) is a very common wild pea species, growing in Greece. It produces red flowers and flat edible pods, although it is not widely used, comparing to its relative species lathyrus sativa.
This flowered plant was spotted growing in a prairie near Nea Demetrias, Volos city, Greece.
