Description:

These fly around the hotel all day.

Habitat:

Tropical montane rainforest.

Leaving out the Treeswifts, there are 12 species of Swift and Swiftlet in Borneo and the books suggest that some are "very similar in appearance and virtually indistinguishable in the field". The Glossy Swiftlet has a whitish belly. Some have forked tails, others have square tails, but these features cannot often be seen. I did submit some pictures to Birdforum.org who have enough experts to ID most but they have not come back with anything on a few swifts.

I saw flocks of what i believe is the same bird when i was in Sandakan and they would fly right past the window of a resort we stayed in next to mt Kinabalu. I managed to accidently capture one in a photo i was taking of the mountain, do you think it's the same? http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/145/picture467.jpg/ I'd love to know the ID if someone can work it out
