Field Notes

Description:

This is a picture of the Eastern Redbud. It has not bloomed yet, but as the temperatures rise and we move farther into spring it will bloom into a beautiful pink color. They bloom for about two weeks, but after that time the flowers fall off and leaves replace them. It is roughly 10 feet tall at the moment and it is five years old. We planted it on Arbor day of 2007.
