Field Notes

Description:

A red-bellied woodpecker probably hollowing out a nesting cavity. This tree is pretty big, and it was towards the top. I checked back several hours after I took these and it was still there. There was another one, probably the female that was hanging out around there also, pecking every now and then.

Habitat:

Down the street from my house

Notes:

I also got some video and will upload it soon.

Thank you LuisStevens and katmc2020! I tried to put a video also but there was a glitch. I'll try again later.
