Description:

This tiny beetle of 6 mm is brightly colored with orange and black. It has the last antennal segment elongated and makes me think it might be a Tenebrionid of the Subfamily Lagriinae (the long-jointed bark beetles). Hope someone can have a look at this one.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light. Finca Argovia, Ruta de Cafe, Soconusco area of southern Chiapas, Mexico. About 1 hour from Tapachula.
