I was going to say something similar, but Ashley beat me to it. This looks like Anolis carolinensis to me too.
Being brown in color does not make this a brown anole; green anoles can be either green or brown. Brown anoles never have a white chin (this lizard does), and brown anoles also have a much larger dorsal stripe. Brown anoles also do not occur where this lizard was seen at...
