Red Eared Slider

A commonly seen turtle that is found near shallow to deep bodies of freshwater. Can have algae and mold growing on its shell. This is simply for camouflage. These turtle have great awareness when someone is coming close. They will quickly plunge into the water and won't be seen until they think you're gone. The pattern on the face of the turtle is yellow and black lines. There are red blotches along the side of the turtles head.
