Field Notes

Description:

About 23mm long. Very flat and broad, with a relatively small head; elongated snout, reminiscent of a weevil; bright orange colouration with a dark patch at the tip of the elytra. I think this is L. fernandezi, but L. arizonensis is identical.

Habitat:

Found in 'El Cimatario' national park, just outside of Querétaro. The area is semi-arid, with lots of acacia and cacti.
