Description:

In flight, its wings give a spectacular flash of bright blue, therefore it will not fly if there is a bird of prey in it's near surroundings

Habitat:

I'm not sure, but I think they said it comes from Africa

Notes:

I saw this beautiful bird at a birdshow in a zoo, but unfortunately I don't remember the name

It looks like a Lilac-breasted Roller to me: one of the most spectacular (because of colors) and most photographed birds of African continent. It must have escaped from a zoo or something, ’cause its normal range is southern and eastern Africa. It’s European cousin is all light blue in front, and has no tail streamers.
