Description:

A very unusual little basket constructed around a pupa, looks like a moth pupa. About 1 cm in size. The fibers of the basket are hard and look like silk mixed with saliva. It was attached to a tree trunk.

Habitat:

Forest, Finca Argovia, Ruta de Cafe, Soconusco area of southern Chiapas, Mexico. About 1 hour from Tapachula.
