Field Notes

Description:

About 24mm long. Black colouration with grey hairs on head, underside, and first leg segment. Elytra have a thin pale outline, with the central one extending onto the thorax. Apparently, there are two other colourations of this species. Also known as Ebony Blister Beetle.

Habitat:

Found in 'El Cimatario', a national park in semi-arid area just outside the city. The rainy season is now in full swing and many animals are venturing out.
