Field Notes

Description:

Body length 10mm. At rest its legs were splayed but when disturbed it curled up into a tight ball. Front 3 pairs of legs following the angle of the head, legs coming to a point out front. At a distance it looked as though it was sitting on a sheet web above the surface of the leaf but through the camera lens (pic 3) it was more like a cobweb, strands running in all directions. If anything comes close to the leaf it will be detected by trip lines.

Habitat:

Forest at Cattana Wetlands QLD
