Field Notes

Description:

Oval dark brown body with a black stripe and of course the long thin legs. Both sexes become progressively darker throughout the season and become almost black by mid-autumn.

Habitat:

Spotted on a wall at a gas station in Marshall, Texas. Range is central and eastern United States and into southern Canada.

Notes:

Also known as Eastern harvestman and Daddy longlegs.
