Description:

Dusky Grouper is a big fish with a big mouth. Has long dorsal fin with three spines. Its colour varies from brown to green depending on the season and the age.
It normally grows to 100 cm, and 10 kg, but it is not rare to find bigger ones, even up to 150 centimeters in length and 60 kilograms in weight.

Habitat:

The dusky grouper is a solitary fish. It can be found in the Mediterranean and African west coast. Rare in rest of the Atlantic.

Notes:

Due to overfishing, it is now considered an endangered species.
