Hey guys, I don't think its a Nightshade at all, though it does look like it. I think it's Borage in the Boraginaceae family.
Yea, it's definitely a nightshade, I have no idea if it's native or not though. Could be non-native since it was growing in a large concrete pot under a tree, but it was the only one, I don't think it was planted there intentionally.
This looks like a nightshade- Solanum sp. I'm not as familiar with California plants, but I'm going to look into it. Is this a native plant?
