Field Notes

Description:

A common mushroom found on dead tree trunk or branches. Its unique feature is the pore-like holes under the cap. Most cap mushrooms would have gill-like structure under the cap. The mushroom is said to be able to glow in the dark but I have failed to see it myself so far. Maybe some kind of special lighting is required to see this phenomenon.
