Field Notes

Description:

This butterfly was barely spotted, but we found him flying about in the rainforest. It looks like a leaf far away, or even close up! But what makes it different from other butterflies is that it has very long legs, and they are bent when it lands, kind of like a grasshopper. And you can kinda see a round face at the top of it's body. We lost it a couple of times before we got a good picture.

Habitat:

Rainforest, Singapore Hot Climate

Oh my god. When did you see this? This is a Saturn butterfly and it's pretty rare and seen mostly at night.
