Field Notes

Description:

Leafy liverwort; moderately small, = 1 - 1.5 mm wide. leaves 3-4 bilobed, succubous; oil bodies brown, 3-6 per cell; underleaves present, 1/10 mm wide, deeply lobed with contorted apices, hidden among dense cilia.

Habitat:

Talus field in Washington cascades, 516 meters. Wet shaded site on a rock mixed with other leafy liverworts.
