Description:
Stalk with one joint. The undersides of the Rusty Woodsia fertile leaflet fern are full of spore cases (shown in rusty color). Uniform height of 5-15 inches tall. Please correct me if I am wrong in my ID
Habitat:
Woodsia ilvensis, commonly known as oblong woodsia,[3] is a fern found in North America and northern Eurasia. Also known as rusty woodsia or rusty cliff fern, it is typically found on sunny, exposed cliffs and rocky slopes and on thin, dry, acidic soils

Ontop of rocky cliffsof granite piles on the Millstone Trails.
