Description:
Resembles a coral fungus, but tissue is opaque rather than semi-translucent. Small, white to off-white fungus approximately 2 inches tall with a ‘shrub-like’ appearance, with flattened branches arising from the base. Fungus becomes yellowish with age. Tips of the branches are flattened and become ragged with age.
Habitat:
Growing in leaf litter in a deciduous forest on southeast-facing slope above a reservoir.
Notes:
Formerly called Tremellodendron pallidum and Tremellodendron schweinitzii
