Field Notes

Description:

The fly is small and slender and can reach a length of 4–7 mm. They have a deep black body with a bullet-shaped head. The tergites on the abdomen have narrow, yellow edges. Hind femora on the stilt-like legs is yellow with two narrow dark rings.

Habitat:

In a garden.

Notes:
