Field Notes

Description:

•They eat insects and some seeds.
•They rarely perch on cattle, unlike some relatives, but they perch in capybaras, as they remove horse flies.
•They are brood parasites, laying eggs in nests of oropendolas and caciques.

Habitat:

Open woodland, cultivation with large trees, forest
-I saw this bird in Foz do Iguaçu (PR, Brazil)
