Yea! I believe you got it, it's a lacewing. Yes, it was very small, and didn't hang around long, or pose itself very conveniently so I had to be a bit of a contortionist and challenge the ol' joints. Thanks all!
If only we cold know the size of the apparently small creature... Guessing by the hair it should be very tiny. Thanks for sharing.
I happened to be carrying my camera when I felt a tickle on my left elbow. It was a little tricky to get the shot because I couldn't turn my left arm around enough and get the camera far enough away to actually see what I was doing so I just had to hold the camera up, point in the general direction and shoot. As suddenly as it was there, it was gone!
