Description:

The flowers are tubular and have 5 lobes with pointed tips. The flowers emerge from the tops of the developing compound fruits. The ripe fruits are a translucent whitish to yellowish white color. The leaves are shiny green, up to 1 foot long, and rounded to oblong in shape. The branches are tetragonal in cross section with rounded angles.

Habitat:

M. citrifolia grows in shady forests, as well as on open rocky or sandy shores.
