Description:
It was a great day to sore high above the water of the Barre Granite Quarries. The Turkey Vulture has a wingspan of 6 feet. They are magnificent fliers. Alone or in the dozens, they said for hours high in the sky. Large black bird. bare red head, long tail, holds wings in a shallow V. Note white on wings. Their head is bare so it stays clean when eating carrion.
