Black-collared Hawk

This is a relatively large hawk, which is normally found in fresh or blackish water where it can fish, due this, in some places they are known as "Halcon de sienaga" (marsh hawk). They nest in very tall trees, usually ceiba tree. their range goes from Mexico to south america. I saw these individuals in the Amazonian area of Peru, specifically in Yarucocha Creek.One of them feeds on a red-bellied pirahna, which was discarded by a fisherman due to its small size.
