Field Notes

Description:

Male: Bright red with crest, black face, stout red bill. Female: Buff-brown tinged with red on crest, wings, and tail.

Habitat:

Woodland edges, thickets, brushy swamps, and gardens.

Notes:

Sorry it is blurred, the cardinal was very high up in a tree. The other shots where from a bit later when he flew down and ate some seeds.
