Description:

Striking metalmark moth as seen in the photo.

Habitat:

Primary Amazonian rainforest at around 230 m.

Notes:

It looks like it will be a Rubropsichia species of some type but nothing found to match.

Tortricidae, Rubropsichia fuesliniana.
Thanks Christine and Leuba. I get just as excited by a sighting like this than of most butterflies.
It must be a Rubropsichia of some kind I think.
Looks very similar to Rubropsichia fuesliniana images on Google. Lots of differences too :). Pretty moth. Hope you get an ID soon. Sorry I was not of more help.
