Description:
A white Hairy crab spider (Heriaeus hirtus) spotted on a parietaria judaica plant, in a prairie in Iolkos, Volos city, Greece.
Heriaeus hirtus, is a member of the Crab Spiders (Family Thomisidae), and the pictured one is probably an adult female. These spiders hide among the leaves of the plant they host and then they use their powerful front legs to grab and hold on to prey, usually leaf hoppers, caterpillars or different kinds of insects.
