Description:

Spot Bill duck with cute ducklings. The mother was leading the flock back & forth for a long time. probably teaching them as to how to feed on.

Habitat:

Spotted in a reserved sanctuary. It is a protected world heritage site in a semi dessert bushy area in northen part of India.
This duck is resident bird in southern Asian countries. Eastern spot bill duck are said to be migratory

Notes:

It has three sub spices - Indian spot-billed duck - poecilorhyncha poecilorhyncha, Eastern spot-billed duck -poecilorhyncha zonorhyncha, and Burmese spot-billed duck - A. poecilorhyncha haringtoni
