Field Notes

Description:

This is medium sized Turdoides Babbler, a bird endemic to East Africa, Kenya and Tanzania. It reaches some 25cm in length, it has a brown mantle and white underparts, with yellowish eyes. Lives in groups and is very noisy, like all babblers.

Habitat:

Seen in some bushland and edge of forest in Nairobi National Park.

Notes:

It is accounted in family Leiothrichidae or Timaliidae - I don't know which classification is the newest...
