Field Notes

Description:

Endemic to Australia, this agamid lizard measures about 15cm body length with a tail that's almost twice as long; grey basic colouration with a brown patch down the back and below the eyes; white under the chin and on throat and two distinct yellowish stripes flanking the brown patch on its back.

Habitat:

Arid region in the Gascoyne of Western Australia. This specimen was photographed at a water hole in Mount Augustus National Park.
