Notes:

I'm guessing it's some kind of tiny moth.The second photo is bad but included it to compare the size of the moth to the leaf. The moth looked like it had fringed edges around it's wings!

I deleted my first ID as I think ForestDragon has the right of it.
Please forgive me for my first ID suggestion (jumped the gun). I am pretty sure this is a Small Frosted Wave moth (a Geometrid moth). Here is another link to more images. The range and color pattern is correct. http://bugguide.net/node/view/75894
The ID is my best guess since I can't see it's head.
