Field Notes

Description:

A ray-finned fish with a subterminal sucker mouth. I believe this is a Gray Redhorse, but not positive.

Habitat:

Found in a spring fed river with a rocky bottom.

Notes:

We caught many redhorse in the nets we were using to try and catch turtles for DNA samples. All the fish were returned to the water safely after a few pictures.
